Resilient Communities
Social NET Works is hosting a working meeting on Feb 5th from 8:30 – 10:00 am at the Research Park at SDSU. Sylvan Learning Center is sponsoring a light breakfast. Participants will review the criteria to earn the designation of being a Resilient Community in SD and take a community inventory to determine gaps. Social NET Works invites interested community members to attend to learn more about current resources in the Brookings community.
Social NET Works is a collaborative group made up of representatives from Brookings School District, Brookings County Youth Mentoring Program, Avera Behavioral Health, and Brookings Area United Way0. The focus of the group is creating and supporting resources for building resilient children and families. Follow them on Facebook to stay up to date on future activities at socialbrookings.
